Q: What is the difference between the MS1850S & the MS1850A

A: The difference between the MS1850S & the MS1850A lies within the composition of the projected bolt. The MS1850S utilizes an eight ply laminated stainless steel bolt whereas the MS1850A consists of an eight ply zinc plated steel bolt. Functionally and dimensionally the two deadlocks are exactly the same. In addition, both versions meet ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standards.

Q: Does Adams Rite offer an ADA acceptable lever to work the MS1850 series deadbolts?

A: The 4550 lever handle is an accessible handle that operates the MS1850 series deadbolts. A downward 90º motion unlocks the deadbolt and an upward 90º turn locks the unit from the inside. The lever can be installed in place of an existing key cylinder or thumbturn on the inside of the door.
