Health Product Declarations
Green building guidelines and standards are continuously evolving to make buildings more efficient, productive and healthier for the occupants within. This latter sustainability goal--healthier buildings--requires greater scrutiny of the elements that go into a building. As a result, a need has developed for Health Product Declarations (HPDs) that lists the material ingredients for each building product.
The Health Product Declaration Collaborative is a customer-led organization committed to the continuous improvement of the building industry's performance through transparency, openess and innovation in the product supply chain. The Collaborative supports the Health Product Declaration (HPD), an impartial tool for the accurate reporting of product contents. This is another step by ASSA ABLOY to openly share our claims and demonstrate our commitment to improve the environment and promote healthy buildings.
