Motorized Latch Retraction

The Motorized Latch Retraction (MLR) option incorporates a powerful and efficient motor to unlatch the exit device. Motor-powered latch retraction provides a quieter operation than solenoid options. Adams Rite recommends that for optimal performance all exit devices with MLR option be paired with PS-SE Power Supplies.

SE Option Discontinuation Notice - MLR Replacement

The Adams Rite Silent Electrification (SE) Motorized Latch Retraction option for all 8000/3000 Series Exit Devices has been discontinued and replaced with the new MLR Motorized Latch Retraction option. The new MLR option incorporates a new mechanical linkage mechanism and eliminates the need for field calibration during installation, resulting in efficient operation to unlatch the exit device. MLR option is currently available for orders and is shipping now.

SE to MLR Part Number Cross-Reference Chart

New part numbers for MLR will be in effect as of October 8, 2019 – see part number conversion chart for assistance. Customers can continue using valid SE part numbers through Oct 7, 2019 but orders will be fulfilled with the new MLR product and the product label will have a circular blue sticker to easily identify the upgraded product. Starting Oct 8th, new part numbers will be in effect and product shipped will reflect new part numbers on the label.
